Came to Colorado in 1978 from Norfolk, VA.
where his early musical influences included Mozart, Bach, Led
Zeppelin, Bread, ZZ Top and Seals & Croft. Received his first drum
lesson after his Grandmother heard him playing “Wipeout” on the arm
of a chair at the age of 8 years old. His musical involvement in
Colorado includes the bands Castle, The Nerve, The Trailblazers
(country), The Illustrious Illustrated Men, ofb42 and now JudgementDay. “I met Gord through my wife and thought it would turn into a hobby kind of
thing...the chemistry is
there to help us become a something more.” And Mike adds, “I am very
happy to have been a part of this from the beginning” He is married
with a 17-year-old daughter. He is a displaced logistics director
still looking for work in that field, now working for a leading
big box building supply store in metro Denver. Music is something that helps
him maintain perspective in this fast moving world. His loves
include his wife and daughter, drumming, fishing, and golf.
