"Gord"

|
Lead
Vocals, Guitar
Came to this world in the environs of Boston. Grew up there
influenced by an eclectic group of musicians: Bruce Springsteen,
Bob Seger, Beaver Brown, Mozart, Aerosmith, Boston, and Pousette-Dart.
Early on Gord played drums in a marching band, but in 1974 put the
sticks down for a used Lyle guitar. Upon learning three chords and
four songs, he began performing, getting the guitar out for late
night serenades at parties and fraternity gatherings. After
college, marriage, and one of his three kids, Gord and a few friends
from a technology company started the band Peripheral Devices
(1986-1989). Several moves across the US (Dallas, Kansas City,
Detroit, and South Carolina) brought several small groups together,
to keep the music alive. A move to Colorado prompted a new band –
ofb42
(2001-2004). JudgementDay has been his musical vehicle for the
last 30 months. Music is always a welcomed
diversion from Gord’s day job as an Executive in a Fortune 100
company. His passions are: spending time with his
new wife Susan; the fond memories of his beautiful wife, Mary
(who passed away from Breast Cancer); his kids (Meghan, Kristen, and
Bill); writing music;
the Boss; Fender Guitars; running and golf. Recently he is getting
back into web-mastering.
