CD Lyrics - ...the right sea test...so far
A
New Life
By Gordon Wolfgang
and Jim Rainbolt
Things seemed
simple our two hearts beat
We married to the
world our love we state
To make our lives
together complete
A deeper intimacy
and a love we create
The most important expression there is
To Make a new life to show
The deepness of a love we already know
Even though there
will be some not so sure
And some not
understand a move so bold
Thinking there
must be another gesture
That would be
better – judging we are too old
A smile to our faces will come every single day
In our old age and all the travels along the way
For our future, and for every today
But in our winter
years we will see
They will be our
pride and joy
An old mans
comfort, for a woman to be
It matters not a
girl or a boy
Beginning
By Gordon Wolfgang
Weekend starts on
a jet to the coast
A rose - a
bottle of champagne
To the Beacon –
for a feast and a toast
We share
ourselves – won’t be the same
Beginning of our life together
In the apple it starts
The launch of our love forever
The sun comes up
in paradise
Cup of coffee -
Tiffany’s second floor
Degas, Renoir,
Monet – impressions so nice
We share the
night - forever more
Valentines night – with a waters edge feel
A line, the wind so brisk and baby, ooo it was so real
Our hands unite, a ring, a yes – she’s my lifelong mate
Another night in the empire state, in the empire state
Cap our evening
with the love that we share
Dawn, a carriage
ride to the green
A weekend to
remember this pair
No man will break
- the bond between
That Little Smile
By Gordon Wolfgang
Waiting outside
the washroom door
For my little
princess - she’s all grown up
Can't go in with
dad no more
They leave so
soon, but don’t give up
They press your
buttons
They make you
burn
But that little smile is one
Than makes my
world turn
She is the image
of that beautiful woman
That I married a
few years gone by
She’s come along
so confident and
Success is in her
reach without a try
Days go by, then
so do the years
Ups and downs, laughs and tears
But by you they will always stand
Tell her that you love her every time you can
She will comfort
me - my old age spree
Her giving ways
just like her mom, my wife
She’ll wait
outside the door for me
Before I leave
here for my next life
South Seas (Honeymoon)
By Gordon Wolfgang
Staying with the
rich and famous
The sky fills
with the Southern Cross
Like hermit crabs
they train us
Meals, sun, drinks
– relax at all costs
Lay your heart
right next to mine
Until there is,
there is no
time
South Seas in our
veins so true
My love for ever
shared only with you
A short launch to
a deserted island
Your sweaty body
lies next to mine
A cork marks our
presence in the sand
Again consummated
after some bubbly wine
Lady this is our
south sea honeymoon
A memory forever – but alas it ends too soon
Time stands still
in this tropical paradise
No thoughts of
home, this will never end
Romance will last
for 5 years score thrice
Whilst other
lovers to the isle descend
In My Heart
By Gordon Wolfgang
The leaves blow
in the winds of fall
As I drive down
that cemetery lane
It’s been a year
with out you at all
A rose a day to
show I came
Time continues to
pass on
No one can stop
its movement
And though you
may be gone
I will have you
in my heart every moment
Your impact to
this world we know
Didn’t cure all
the sins that there are
But it made me
better, I miss you
And always will
through my journeys so far
It was the hardest year that I ever had
Lost, without you, so very sad
I pray that you
sleep in Gods hand
Someday I again
will see you
In the promise
land we’ll together stand
Forever, my dear,
I love you
Night and Day
By Gordon Wolfgang
and Jerry Boynton
My baby doesn’t
look for the things that are wrong
She sees through
my defects many
Relationships
must have understandin' to last long
She stands by me
though the faults a’ plenty
I don’t ever want
to hurt my Lady
She means more
than any words can say
She makes life
bearable there ain’t no maybe
I think of her
all the time - yeah - night and day
I am a man of
simple pleasures
She knows how to
satisfy each
Unlocks the world
and all its treasures
Her soft touch is
always in reach
Together in
timeless suspense
Live every moment we two intense
Creating a space together
Just right and ours, baby, forever
Together we
explore the peaks of love
The majesty of a
relationship so deep
Nothing comes
between, in, or above
The mountain may
be high, though travel not steep
One Rose
By Gordon Wolfgang, Jim Rainbolt
and Bryce Boynton (2006)
One
rose for each of my loves so fine
Is the
thing that causes their concern
How can
one man love two at the same time?
Is what
they see as not firm?
I give one rose to say how much you mean to me now
I give one to you to tell you how much I miss you
They see some sort of disrespect, I know not how
Or something must have been going on with you
It’s
said that time will pass and things will recover
My
thoughts are that their feelings won't change
They
should live in my skin to see how much I really love her
Or
respect my loss; she would not want to see me in pain
A rose is a sign
of my undying love
You know my heart is so true
My heart is give to both of you
The
important part is to make sure our family can cope
The
rest of the world may come along soon, I hope
I once
thought I didn’t know what to feel or what to do
I know the ones close are all it matters to
I give one rose to say how much you mean to me now
I give one to you to tell you how much I miss you
I give one rose to say how much you mean to me now
I
give one rose to you to say - I Love You
Back on Track
By Gordon Wolfgang
You’ve
captured me, be still my heart
You’ve
got my full attention
I long
for you every second we are apart
You're the one
for my
affection
My life is back on track
Since I met you girl (Sue)
No, I won’t rush it baby, but I can’t call it back
Cause it feels so good
I have
all my priorities straight
You
came right to the top of my list
Your
smile is so true and it is oh so bright
I
treasure that first tentative kiss
I only want to
see those good times now
With you my eyes
opened anew
Not looking back
at rail gone by
Back on track
with a girl like you
Your
Blond hair, and those deep blue eyes
My love
for you I cannot disguise
I need
some more dreams that I can chase
Together with you we’ll cinch this beautiful case
Our Wedding
By Gordon Wolfgang
and Jim Rainbolt (2006)
The
shadows get longer in our lives and this wonderful year
And I
now have a woman, so close, and so dear
We have
set the plan for a life with each other
Our
wedding day is here, to all I show just how much
I love
her
Your white dress, your sparkling eyes
Your ready smile, there is no surprise
Me in my black tux and red vest
Ready for this life, and our lifelong quest
My
heart skips a beat, as she turns the corner, and I see her
Only
minutes now until our union sees completion
You
glow as you walk down the aisle, you're so eager
To
start a life together, much anticipation
And I
love her
The ceremony of dreams come true
to this pair so mature
The sun shines on we two
We'll remember this day forever
My life
is now oh so complete
With
this little girl, my being I give her
She
shows me her love and she is so sweet
We are
starting out on our life together
And I
love you
Stand As One
By Gordon Wolfgang
In the
shadow cast by a candle lit cross
A
beautiful young woman makes her way through that ample throng
Her
sure gait toward her waiting man
Vows to
each other – They commit life long
And a hush falls over the church
Together they stand before the crowd
Marriage concludes their search
They stand together, They stand as one, so proud
The
love they show just in their bearing
Bathed
in the light of God’s Ultimate Glory
At the
alter they exchange a wedding ring
Unselfish devotion, trust, tenderness – our dream story
In Gods Hand they become one
Share their love for all to see
In his hand they’re forever young
Their happiness will always be
A
ceremony with acknowledged diversity
To
recognize the power of their God
His
wish of faith, hope, love, tolerance and harmony
Are
theirs – His reach, His reach so broad
Le Petit Mort
By Gordon Wolfgang
We met
so innocently in the Blue Mountains
Over
time our love so deeply grew
We
capped it off with a Champaign fountain
For all
of time I just want you
To
express love completely
Entwined, le petit mort
For you
so sweetly
Anything, I said, Anything at all
You are
the woman that comforts me
Makes
all my dreams come true
Tells
me how much we will be
For all
of time, I just want you
A forthcoming sigh in that midnight hour
Pleasure explodes, we feel all the power
You are
the lady - inspires my strength
Confidence, faith for a fulfilled life
I will
give to you, no matter what the length
Together forever -
we're man and wife
Mary’s Smile
By
Gordon Wolfgang
I
wake up to the picture of Mary’s smile
My
day starts with hope, she makes it all right
She
is never down, always ready for that next mile
We
work hard all day, and come together at night
Mary’s smile is the thing I need
It’s
the wealth that draws my greed
Mary’s smile is the thing I need
When
I call she asks “how can I help” now
She
always has time to make my day
When
I don’t understand, she tells me how
At
night her moves excite - together we play
Even
when there’s a question of her health now
Smiles chase away anything that’s blue
It
is up to you to define wealth
I
dedicate my life in serving you
ROCK
ON
Clearly See
By
Gordon Wolfgang
How
can an already broken heart be broken again
I
didn’t think it possible but it is real
With
my whole world ‘round me just crashin’ in
No
one knowing how much pain that I do feel
Oh, they don’t understand the large hole she left
They
think it’s all about me
How
much time must pass
For
those who look on to clearly see
All
I want is to have someone to be my companion
Someone to make this pain just disappear
I am looking for
some silly sort of validation
Someone in my heart, it’s not connection I fear
Time has a funny way of passing on
And everyone has a different pace
It is time to give another lady a try
For love is in that new woman’s face
I’m
just telling everyone that I’m making a change
Not
to just be alone or wait to die
But
to find that closeness, not somethin’ strange
The
time is here and now – I’m past the cry
Sunset Girl
By
Gordon Wolfgang
I
met this girl on highway 99
She
jumped into my car, she nearly blew my mind
We
drove on down the coast and split a bottle of wine
The
sun was going down, it barely gave a shine
My
sunset girl, my sunset girl
My
sunset girl, she’s my sunset girl
The
hours slipped away and we stayed up all night
This
was the perfect girl, I knew, I knew she was right
This
woman made me smile, she made my life complete
This
was the perfect one, this woman sure was sweet
The
days passed us by, and she slipped into my life
The
time was here and now and captured as my wife
But
as the story went, she was had and lost
Truth was together united, romance at all cost
Then
we were together for over 20 years
From
Munich to Lahaina, so many tears
But
finally the story went, she was taken away
Mary
is my sunset girl, and I miss her in every way
Thanks Mary
16B
By Gordon
Wolfgang
Oh oh oh oh
Sittin’ in 16C on
a redeye from LA
Dreaming of
getting home to see my baby
Then she shakes
me from some far of gaze
Asks is anybody
sitting in 16B
Oh - I’ve always
fanaticized of this exact event
A chance
encounter at 39,000 feet
Oh - Who would
have thought that we would ever meet
Me and the girl
in the next seat
She sits down,
we exchange pleasant smiles
This blond beauty
starts “talkin’ to me”
Conversation goes
on for miles and miles
And then the urge
to kiss that girl in 16B
Let me tell you son, this story is true
Maybe some day it will happen to you
I follow my urge
and it ain’t just kisses
No problem - she
is comfortable with my advance
We embrace all
night, in an evening of bliss
Numbers
exchanged, plans for our next chance

The One I Work For
By Gordon Wolfgang
I spend my nights at a beer drenched
mic in a smoky room
Thinkin’ about a life that could have
been
The last drunk leaves and I’ll be goin’
home soon
To see my girl light up as I walk in
the room
She's the one I work for
All of the time
She's the one I work for
She’s mine, mine all mine, yes, she's
mine
I road a star to the big time and a
stadium stage
Ran fast, lived hard, put millions
up my nose
Made music for thousands into my
middle age
Squandered the thing that I believed
in most
My senses peak to that sweet smell as
she walks by
I come back to earth from some far off dreams
My girl still keeps me after my star
fell from the sky
Now it’s small bars, tip jars – life
is better it seems
