CD Lyrics - Our Wedding

The Plan

By Gordon Wolfgang

Life is filled with so many ups and downs

All the Technicolor sights and the surround sounds

It's how you choose to handle them

That separate the boys from the men

The setback of loosing a loving wife

Could make a weak man give up on livin’ life

That’s not the way that she would want it to be

You give confidence – find another one is key

   To find the right one

You must first have a plan

You got to know what it is that you want

Then start the search for the right woman

To get to the next act in your Play

The last one has to have its curtain close

Grief takes its own sweet time, just like a Shakespeare play

Some get through it with poetry, some get through it with prose

Time comes when the next chapter begins

But this time down the street at a different place

You’ll never give up the memories or those deep feelin’s

While looking into another woman’s face

The Next Chapter

By Gordon Wolfgang

After a million hugs I felt so alone

Loosing my sole mate – so incomplete

This high impact lady she’s now at home

All I have of her are these memories so sweet

We had a timeless vision - One that stood a tragic loss

It allowed for a new addition - To another one my heart I toss

To fill the hole a girl with eyes so blue

We spend time with each other we grew together

I have found another love so true

Not alone no more, my aim is to wed her

She will be - the center piece

In this next chapter - to my life

With her lips so soft - a touch so nice

A new saint - another wife

I think marriage is the natural way

When I marry I cannot say

I expect it will be someday soon

The sounds and sights of my next tune

Arms Length

By Gordon Wolfgang

She has an electric smile

Her eyes are sparkling blue

She had my heart all the while

And so together we grew

My wonderful girl – That wonderful girl

We met in the Carolina Mountains

Brevard so innocently

Our paths crossed, I was smitten

This girl entered completely

My wonderful girl – That wonderful girl

The easy way - is to stay at arms length

No one will say a thing to us

But you should be in my arms today

We'll make history together for ever more

We were friends then together

That hug she gave was so warm

I could not think of another

For her I constantly yearn

My wonderful girl – That wonderful girl

I need someone to give to

Ya, waiting to die is not me

Starting things makes me live

Take a chance, let’s get wild and see

My wonderful girl – (I Love) That wonderful girl

Judgement Day

By Gordon Wolfgang

One rose for each of my loves so fine

Is the thing that causes their concern

How can one man love two at the same time?

Is what they see as not firm?

I give one rose to say how much you mean to me now

I give one to you to tell you how much I miss you

They see some sort of disrespect, I know not how

Or something must have been going on with you

It’s said that time will pass and things will recover

My thoughts are that their feelings won't change

They should live in my skin to see how much I really love her

Or respect my loss; she would not want to see me in pain

The important part is to make sure our family can cope

The rest of the world may come along soon, I hope

I once thought I didn’t know what to feel or what to do

I know the ones close are all it matters to

I give one rose to say how much you mean to me now

I give one to you to tell you how much I miss you

I give one rose to say how much you mean to me now

I give one rose to you to say - I Love You

Did I Scare You Away

By Gordon Wolfgang

I know it was unexpected and oh so fast

It was for me too, but deep down I know it’s okay

Little girl I know it will last

I hope I did not scare you away

I don’t know (care) what others may think

I know I have nothing to hide

My heart is sitting right on this brink

I can’t let it pass, these feelings inside

I know you could be right for me

We can wait to satisfy those who look on

But my intentions to Sue and my Mary

Are so true and not just a come on

The world wants things in a certain way

But when it’s right, baby it’s right

And I know that it is okay

When it is true love we should not fight it

Little girl I know it will last

I hope I did not scare you away

Little girl I know it will last

I hope I did not scare you away

Back on Track

By Gordon Wolfgang

You’ve captured me, be still my heart

You’ve got my full attention

I long for you every second we are apart

This new girl for my affection

My life is back on track

Since I met you girl (Sue)

No, I won’t rush it baby, but I can’t call it back

   Cause it feels so good

I have all my priorities straight

You came right to the top of my list

Your smile is so true and it is oh so bright

I treasure that first tentative kiss

Your Blond hair, and those deep blue eyes

My love for you I cannot disguise

I need some more dreams that I can chase

Together with you we’ll cinch this beautiful case

Our Wedding

By Gordon Wolfgang

The shadows get longer in our lives and this wonderful year

And I now have a woman, so close, and so dear

We have set the plan for a life with each other

Our wedding day is here, to all I show just how much

I love her

Your white dress, your sparkling eyes

Your ready smile, there is no surprise

Me in my black tux and red vest

Ready for this life, and our lifelong quest

My heart skips a beat, as she turns the corner, and I see her

Only minutes now until our union sees completion

You glow as you walk down the aisle, you're so eager

To start a life together, much anticipation

And I love her

My life is now oh so complete

With this little girl, my being I give her

She shows me her love and she is so sweet

We are starting out on our life together

And I love you

Susan, I Love You

By Gordon Wolfgang

Your scent, your smile, your honesty, your eyes, and your love

Does capture all of my heart

On the dawn of this fine year

Your answer so fast - so dear

That yes did make my night

Those tears - what a site

The planning for our future life

The ring does show all my love

To you, the girl that will be my wife

It's a sign from above

You came into my life so sweet

You mean so much to me too

Forever together, my life complete

Susan, I love you

Glory

By Gordon Wolfgang

In the shadow cast by a candle lit cross

A beautiful young woman makes her way through that ample throng

Her sure gait toward her waiting man

Vows to each other – They commit life long

And a hush falls over the church

Together they stand before the crowd

   Marriage concludes their search

They stand together, They stand as one, so proud

The love they show just in their bearing

Bathed in the light of God’s Ultimate Glory

At the alter they exchange a wedding ring

Unselfish devotion, trust, tenderness – our dream story

A ceremony with acknowledged diversity

To recognize the power of their God

His wish of faith, hope, love, tolerance and harmony

Are theirs – His reach, His reach so broad

Le Petit Mort

By Gordon Wolfgang

We met so innocently in the Blue Mountains

Over time our love so deeply grew

We capped it off with a Champaign fountain

For all of time I just want you

         To express love completely

         Entwined, le petit mort

         For you so sweetly

Anything, I said, Anything at all

You are the woman that comforts me

Makes all my dreams come true

Tells me how much we will be

For all of time, I just want you

You are the lady - inspires my strength

Confidence, faith for a fulfilled life

I will give to you, no matter what the length

Together forever - man and wife

Red  Rose

by Gordon Wolfgang

I just wanted to say thank you

My days are now so full

Of joy that we two

Have and forever will

You are my wonderful red rose

I want to make you happy for life

You are my wonderful red rose

Thank you again for being my wife

I am such a blessed man

So deep the love you give to me

I commit my endless love to you Susan

Our future so bright we will see

Our excitement for the coming day

Will be eclipsed by the next 65 years

For this is something here to stay

No more tears, no more fears
