Born and
raised in Mid Michigan, a place of Cars, Bars, and lots of weirdo's.
Took up the guitar at eight and set it down quickly after parent
financed lessons yielded only mildly successful renditions of Old
McDonald had a Farm. Took it up again around 14 without lessons for
a safety net and had a bit better luck. Influenced by Grand Funk,
Yes, Bob Seger, REO Speedwagon, and Johnny Winter. In awe of
Clapton, Page, & Van Halen. Partial to all things Fender, but would
not kick a '59 Black Les Paul Custom out of bed for eating crackers.
Met up
with Gord at Car University in Flint, MI and were college roommates
in the 70's. Have fond memories of waking up Saturday mornings and
finding Gord sleeping on the floor, after not being able to
negotiate the last three feet of carpet to get to the couch.
Typically this was a measure of a successful Friday night of merry
making. A third roommate, "Stevie" is a story all on his own, but
wait for the movie.
Work in
the auto industry to keep the family fed and living indoors.
Passions outside of music include dirt bikes and snowmobiles.
